TRANSLATING INTO PICTURES
It is while studying Litterature that I felt the urge to translate into pictures the worlds I was building throughout the many readings. I have a passion for the procedure which holds an important role in all I produce.
My greatest pleasure is to suggest, by drawings, the begining of a story so as to leave the imaginary take over. With this spirit, I represented views of the city of Carouge, where I live. They are available in the form of post cards.
In the process, some of the encounters revealed themselves to be of importance. I was able to challenge and confront my creativity with some of their projects : a series of cards for Betjeman and Barton - Tea Merchants in Carouge, two book covers for Hélène Richard Favre - Writer, illustrations of articles for the periodical Terre des Hommes Suisse...
